Milk Price Tracker

Just a word of reality ,milk prices are the real world no one buyer will offer every producer the best returns throughout the year because of varying supply profiles and quality payments . Arguments within FM should be addressed within FM by member pressure and should seek too maintain the principle of one price for all (subject to quality etc) this should apply to volume bonus as well, for when milk is sold it is sold at one price not relative to either quality or volume of supplying farms. @supercow your efforts would perhaps be more rewarded applied within FM and all credit to you for trying to do this, but sniping at Arla will not help one iota Todays milk prices are the real world of supply and demand think on will your business survive peaks and troughs that are with us .

First of all, I sometimes wonder myself why I'm such an arse. However, there is a handful of people on here that at any given opportunity lay into first milk, and lay into them.. personal attacks at first milk, for whatever reason, probably their history. And I believe they know who they are, if they don't they need to go to a phsychologist. So just cos I'm the only one on here sticking up for first milk and potentially returning this handful of fellas favour I'm the bad guy?
Secondly, things do get addressed by farmers of first milk, none of us were happy there were so many different prices, so the board have changed it to make it so much fairer.
Secondly, I appoligise @jimmer and @cornishfarmer for my outrageous outburst last night, I only felt mr Cornish was insinuating I was delighted the Lake District pool get a better price than Scottish mainland and midlands. That is a chronic misunderstanding, I big up first milk because their recent successes maybe go missed by some on the forum.

Just caught up on the latest posts on this thread.

That old saying " divide and rule" comes immediately to mind.

Fall out with each other over a fraction of a penny, but let the robbing bast@rds who collect our milk get away with it.
As an Irish producer (we generally get an even enough price between the various processors) it amazes me how people here get so wound up about other people's milk price. If you're happy with your producer surely there's no need to gloat?

100% agree, hate gloaters. Difference between gloating and sticking up for your processor that has had their reputation dragged through shiit headfirst for the last 5 years. And it never really bothers me if someone's getting 3 pence more that generally goes on more rubbish they don't need or goes to the tax man!

That wasn't aimed at you or anyone specifically but yes if someone thinks first milk or whoever is such a poor payer just be glad you're not with them and there's no need to tell the other people how misfortunate they are!
