agreed we don't have the paper work you do and we don't have a second tank otherwise with my limited knowledge of arla I think we would comply with the regs.
where do you miss out ? 1.5p is a fair wack.

The buffer tank isn’t part of the standard litre which is an extra .4 ppl

The headline price also includes the 13th payment which you would receive in March (.83)

Milk solids, June July is my annual low so I'm nowhere near the manufacturing litre, I have the buffer tank, everyother day collection, attic access, bit extra volume bonus but it doesn't make up for the components.

That is what you get paid for, I’ve struggled this spring with fat more than ever back on track now but it has certainly cost me.

I reckon that because Muller suppliers have sold forward for 3 years to Lidl for 28ppl that means that they can't resign now and Muller know it and thus aren't having to keep up with the market.

But thats only a percentage of output.
Seems a bit harsh that you then are locked in with the rest of your supply to that buyer for the whole duration. Whats the notice period, buy out clauses etc?

So if a forward contract at a set price really worth it? Does it work like that for ANY other industry?

DC Davidstow up 1.75 ppl from 1st August

Standard manufacturing price 30.4 ppl from 1st August.

Muller non-aligned price held at 28ppl.

Absolute joke.

Arla price is 30.5 ppl from 1st July so we are most definitely lagging behind.

barbers up 1.25p to 30.16 for august. slightly disappointed that they have allowed arla to overtake them for the first time in well over a yr.

Are all these prices standard litre prices? Or "buyer" specified prices?

I'm not sure but Muller suppliers who sold forward will be tied in now and unable to move

Did any of the muller suppliers have to sign a different milk contract “stating if they forward sell etc they would be liable if they don’t supply it” we did with yew tree

Yes, although I've just checked the Arla website and seen that I'm still producing near enough the same litres as this time last year with only a handful more cows but iI' budgeted them milking slightly better because I'm eternally dissapointed with my cows yields and thought things were finally coming together this year.

By the end of the week I'll be milking slightly fewer than last year but hopefully sending no less milk because I'm having an earlier than usual tidy up of anything I don't want to milk next year.
