Milk Price Tracker

Have they lost many farmers? Or have many stayed?

Not sure how many have left. Can’t imagine there are many processors recruiting at the moment so most won’t have a choice anyway. If you‘re under notice you don’t get the 1p price increase that is due from July.

If a freshways producer did have a new milk contract, how quickly could they leave or what, worst case scenario would happened if they just told the FW haulier not to pick them up any longer and moved to someone else?

Surely FW changing pricing so quick and claiming force majure works both ways in terms on notice period etc.

I’m sure there’s a group of suppliers doing this with help from the Nfu legal team.

Dad went out and later back in, more money in milk but more work, more tie, more hassle, it’s a young mans game, I look forward to getting out one day.
Friend went out of cows , became arable with some rearing cattle.
Couple of years down the line I asked him what he thought of the new regime.
It`s strange, he says, I go for days without having to make any decisions
