Have seen a few posts on social media about how great Arlas profit is and how great farmers are doing, going to buy another fendt etc.

Please just be aware how some of the general public are bearing up with job losses etc.
I know we all have to make a profit but probably a bit more low key at this time.

How many new fendts can one dairy farmer have? 🚜 🚜 🚜 🚜 🚜 🚜 🚜 🚜

So its not OK for an Arla farmer to say hes buying a new Fendt but its fine for you to say it!

UK Farm gate price in blue, oil price in red (Right hand axis). Couldn't get all on one graph as have to pay to download historical GDT data so hashed a screen shot together on same time scale (roughly)...

Not in a low inflation environment which we have enjoyed for the last 4 to 5 years
Surely inflation rates have been low since 1993, albeit with a minor blip in 2009 & 2011. I don't see the link. I agree the market has been quiet for 4-5 years but with feed prices taking off, it seems very likely milk prices will follow because otherwise production will fall, as it normally does.
