Right now I am confused 😂

Is 1800 right or wrong?
Is 1500 right or wrong?
If both are wrong what is right?
If both are right what is wrong?

Is hay right or wrong?
Is silage right or wrong?
If both are wrong what is right?
If both are right what is wrong?

On a separate note, which way is up? 😂
Every farm is different and every farmer is different, you will find which suits you and your farm as you go along, learn from your mistakes and you will be fine, repeat them and the job becomes an uphill battle.
ps I would still of sold the fatty :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

For me we would aim at 1500. 1800 too high. Perhaps this is part of the problem with the butterfat, cows eating all leaf and no stem(fibre) as not eating the plant down properly.

If you’ve enough grass then don’t bother with hay and silage.

Im

Just wondering if because the fat has gone up it's meant the % of my milk that's water would have gone down and therefore bought my fpd up?

Mine have always had grass, they're in my silage field so have had access to ad-lib grazing since I've been here, theyve got absolutely loads of the stuff and have done for the past 21 days that theyve been in there?

Going back 20years now, but was tough that 1500 was a empty bowl of salad and you need to empty that bowl of salad every time you grazed and not to add more as the next time you graze there will be rotten salad in the bottom of the bowl and you will leave more and more each time you graze, until you premow or top the rubbish out which costs money and the cow's would have done it for free if the grass is managed proper 😉

How they dare to minus 2ppl off you for seasonality on that price is beyond me 🤬 absolutely criminal
I know it's annoying isn't it. It's there new seasonality scheme. We average about 4500 litres a day in the Autumn and 5200 litres in the spring so we're hardly a hardcore spring milk sender in my eyes.
