Don't many autumn/winter calvers actually peak in erm...... Spring!!!!!

Calve when it suits you and your farming system. Think cheese, powder etc. can be made with cheap or expensive milk.

If the processors didn't have a spring flush then how would they get cheap milk???

Bet the mozzarella factories as an example be going 24/7 in May with own suppliers (possibly at a hefty minus seasonality) topped up with as much cheap spot milk as possible???

Spring flush they (processors) say they don't want it but secretly they really do😱
