Obviously I need to read beyond the headlines. ?The article states global production up 1%
Demand up 1.50 - 2%
Prices firm for the first 6 months.
That's spoilt an otherwise good day@Irish NZ ease up a bit please. Too much rain means too much grass means too much milk. Bloody kiwis View attachment 849035

Just about sums it up wasn't expecting that. Its a not so Merry Christmas from Saputo with a 0.7ppl drop from 1st Feb taking the price to 29.2ppl for standard manufacturing litre.
You mean that the ones that would be better off on it won't be so better off?Wonder if that's to ready us for new contract?

But they want more milk if they don't get it the job won't stack up that way either.Hate to say it, but i have suspicions that Saputo will operate similar to Muller take over of Wisemans, they dont have cash to massive expand davidstow, the milk factor needs heavy investment now to keep with current milk intakes, so they won't worry about loosing some milk. They need a good return on investment, cant see them being a strong milk buyer in three years time.
But remember nothing lasts forever, you boys have had a hellish strong price this past 12 mnthsJust about sums it up wasn't expecting that.
My bank balance wouldn't seem think so, but I do realize it could be worst and feel very sorry for people on 25 ppl dunno how they are managing it. Brought a new bulk tank yesterday so could stay on every other day for them so could done with out that drop. Has it don't keep going down now.But remember nothing lasts forever, you boys have had a hellish strong price this past 12 mnths
And out of interest if you think that is a good price what would you say the price was like 25 years ago when dad was getting 26ppl then.? Back then one litre of milk would buy three litres of diesel now takes two litres of milk to buy one litre of diesel.?wonder how many business would call that progress. But remember nothing lasts forever, you boys have had a hellish strong price this past 12 mnths
With constituents at an all time high into the factory, the new contract would have acted as a decent price rise for many. So we may get back to 29.9ppl in april? Its a not so Merry Christmas from Saputo with a 0.7ppl drop from 1st Feb taking the price to 29.2ppl for standard manufacturing litre.
