Speaking to friends across the water and up the country. One of them was offered the chance to fix 100% of his milk at 28ppl as recently as three weeks ago.

"Well the price is 28ppl now so wheres the gain?"

Wonder how much that'll cost him

Just off the phone with our buyer.

Suggests we should all budget on 2ppl cut across all commodities esp liquid from May milk cheque on unless the situation changes.

So much for opportunities
Why?
More milk and product sold retail than wholesale.
Prices should rise.

Why cant freshways still put the milk through as small cartons and put on supermarket shelves?

Things should be looking up not down!?

Just quoting what I was told. And they say there is no cartel with the processors ...
Well, spoke to my buyer this afternoon, who's not that far from you, And at the minute they're putting on extra shifts to pack cheese. Can't shift it quick enough.

I suspect that glanbia only need a sniff of a rumour of a reason to chop a bit off.

@pappuller is live in a supermarket, and can confirm the only thing on the shelf is vegan dung
