Would you borrow money for a depreciating bit of kit like a robot? Land I can understand but surely by the time a bots payed for it’ll be worthless?

With the price of all machinery I for one would find it very difficult to not use finance of some description to assist in the purchase.
I may be in the minority but I doubt it.

Potentially it’s me that’s in the minority but it’s one thing we’d never borrow money for here, I’d always wait until I had the funds but to be fair I’ve never spent the kind of cash needed to buy a Robotic Milker.

Bank loan is considerably cheaper than financing through HP

7 year term and robot would still retain 50% or more of its value. Better than a parlour and easier to take out

A parlour would last a lot longer than a robot milk more cows and require less servicing costs. But I suppose you can make anything look attractive if you look at it the right way

I guess there will be some farmers on the list of many milk buyers. Those with little options could have there name down with multiple dairies
