Freshways paying the A litre price for all B litres produced from now until the end of the year and asking for more litres

Not a difficult commitment to make when spot milk is +30ppl and the A price is 28.5ppl from July.

Perhaps Freshways are one of the processors driving the spot market higher if they need the milk???

You said "investment" Are you suggesting the UK Dairy industry isn't making a profit? Or that they are just pocketing it?

The capacity argument is bollicks-just an excuse from the Dairies to reject the less profitable volume. Unless you think that all the new build factories of the less ten years are running at full capacity. (If you believe that, I have some magic beans for sale)

Dairy industry? You mean producers or processors or retailers . That was quite vague.

New factory up north has made a huge difference this spring.

But the large scale investments have been made in commodity processing.

I have spoken to a milk buyer who is paying out a 13th payment due to the company doing so well. Its not a coop either!
