On volac Blossom milk replacer. On the bag it says 125g per litre of water. I think it should be more than that in this weather. What’s everyone else’s thoughts?
Calves are having 2.5 litres twice a day, they’ve got calf jackets on. 5 week old calves.

Yours are getting 625 grams of powder a day, ours are on adlib and get roughly 90 grams per litre but do drink 10+ litres a day. When they are young you get the best feed conversion so I wouldn't hesitate about upping it.

I think they have quoted 125 gms a day for decades, as above you get best conversion at this time, you could easily increase by 50%, this weather calves need more energy/protein to stay in the same place as a normal feed. they are not growing when they are using there ration just to keep warm.
