Be careful where the agitator is our Kristal 20,000L needs to have 2500L in it before agitator fires up due to mechanical seal needs to be submerged it also doesn’t cool until the either, challenging in a block calving system

@Devon lad what do you do?
our plate cooler takes it down pretty cool, and it’s usually a time of year when the ambient temperature is low as well, doesn’t really effect bacto’s too much. I have re-wire it so you can manually override the cooling so it cools before level switch is triggered but you have to open hatch on side to manually agitate. We wouldn’t go for this type again and didn’t realise the issue when we bought it. Our old vacaar silo’s agitator was mounted on the roof/top so didn’t need to be completely sealed unlike ours at 20% from bottom.

Are you still block or have a production bias?

They have a larger minimum volume than a conventional tank I believe.

yes still autumn block so this would need to be carefully considered

when did you buy your tank? Just wondering if they’ve changed since then ?

Was there not someone on here that had a lot of problems with a silo and was going to remove it? Was the supplier or manufacturer not on here as well to defend their case?
