milk vending machine

We have done (although not in glass bottles!) no reason we couldn't again, we just haven't really pushed it in this past year. We had a good service from the courier but got a bit messed about when they got too busy this time last year.

I would be interested, we are near Ely, the nearest raw milk supplier I know of is near the Suffolk coast, but as our farm was a dairy farm when I was a kid, the supermarket stuff leaves quite a lot to be desired!

You don't need a vending machine to sell glass bottles, nor are glass bottles the complete answer.
I don't know who's post that is but it's going some to sell 9500 litres of milk a week. In our experience, very few bottles come back for a refill which makes them worse than plastic for the environment.
When we started using glass on the doorstep in the early 80's we needed to replace them on a monthly basis - We were getting 30 + trips per bottle.

By 2000 a glass bottle was doing well if it managed more than 2 trips ( Completely non viable) but by then Poly was unversal in Supermarkets and the "Big Dairies" had persuaded their employed milkmen to re-mortgage their houses and buy the "Doorstep Goodwill" from their supplying dairy before supplying the Supermarkets direct and destroying the value of that "Goodwill" and leaving ex-roundsmen in dire financial straits.

Hey - Ho . Such is life....

Just Google earthed the area. Looks like a big site.

Big job on the wall too by the looks of it. 😅💪

Yes it’s a great holiday park! Owner’s are very good to work with. Just pasteurising all very new so big learning curve ahead!
A captive market such as that site should be good for getting glass back - Oh, and try to avoid getting into the extra costs of homogenisation. You are not looking at mass markets, educate folk to your niche.
