With the muller serving notice to some of it farmers for various things. One of the point is down to milk volume. So how much milk is required to continue supplying muller ?

Our processor pick up a farm that does around 900 litres a collection but he does milk jerseys on a solids contract. Personally I think that is not a good enough reason to drop a producer unless they have decreased volumes significantly below what they agreed to supply.

I wonder if this could be the sting in the tail of the new dairy contract legislation - everyone apparently will be issued a new contract....what if they decide they don't want "everyone" That would be a shot across the bows for NFU etc who have fought for it

Our tanker collects 400 litres eod from a farm before coming to us.

Just looked at the price schedule, Meadow are -2ppl if your below 750 a day but that's actually minus 2.5ppl from standard litre price as standard litre volume is paid as .5p bonus also minus 1p if not on eodc.

Muller previously got rid of everyone under 1000 litres per day so not sure if that has increased. From memory during that time when our cow numbers reduced to that level we had a negative volume bonus.
