There is a sort of routine when manpower is right for the parlour/milking speed, but the routine is cow-driven rather than milker-driven! If you haven't got your wits about you and don't know your cows (fast/slow milkers) you can waste a lot of time or get in a right muddle. If you get behind you just need to accept it and in effect start again from scratch.Nice cows, lack of a routine would do my head in though!
