Milking times split

Getting back to all Autumn calving. Like to be reasonably Lazy and our milking time split is 5 and 3 so 10:14 hours. This works fine. With cows now averaging over 9000 a cow it might be pushing it but not planning on evening it up any more.
However do people change the split as yields drop off. I can see 6.00 and 2 8:16 quite attractive. Will I still get the same daily yield or will there be a small oad style effect.

If your on a solids contract it won’t make a jot of difference.

I got super pee'd on Saturday night and basically was as much use as a chocolate tea pot on Sunday. Luckily the tractor driver milked but about an hour and a half later than I would normally and i started milking at 1:30pm because I frankly couldn’t think of anything I would least like to do than stand in the pit when it was cold and dark.

very long story short we produced more milk than we have in a long time. So I’ve come to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter at all especially if your on a solids contract. Maybe over 10k and chasing white water it might.

We milk 5am 3.30pm

Milk highs, heifers lows am the lows heifers highs PM.

Always thought this was holding us back when at 8500 litres, now doing way over 10 and it doesn't seem to bother them at all.

Had a milk pump die last Monday was.5 hours late starting, over the 4 days either side we lost a total of 1000 litres.

Be fine, I do similar. Although I'm more 9/15 in later lactation.

Pondering going 8/16 this year as well if I pull my finger out and sort this buffer tank job.

Only niggle is pm grass allocations can be a bit wide of the mark +/-.
I don't plate though, so it's probably a me issue?
