Anyone got one?
Looking for a hands on user review, I know the ins and outs of it but what it's like in working conditions I'd be interested to hear about.
When I first seen it when it came out I didn't pass much heed on it but but times since I've been plugging in my main heat gun {leads have got to be sooo yesterday now:rolleyes:} to do one quick job, mostly heatshrink work, and just the speed of the cordless I'm thinking would be far handier but before I take the jump I was wondering if anyone had gone before me and what their thoughts were on it.

I heard it eats batteries very quick.
I just use cordless soldering iron with blow nozzle on it for heat shrink or if it's a long run on a loom or even a pipe! Plumbers blow lamp does it quick.

cheers for the replies lads.

i have one of the iroda units but i find it lax, time consuming and slow tbh.

ive seen one at a show before and altho its not immediate heat it did seem to come up to temp in about 5 or 6 seconds which altho is slow enough is quicker than i can pull the lister heat gun off the shelf, get the extension lead, plug it in and wait for it to heat up which in fairness dosent take long, but its more hassle than anything setting it up so i was thinking as slow as the m18 heat gun may be it id be quicker than all of that.

theres a show cummin up during the week and i might visit, ill see what the gig is and what it can be bought for on the day.

What was my thinking, it has to be sore on a battery, it's basically a resistor between the + & - of one.
Have the blow lamp but I wouldn't use it on the heatshrink, unless I had nothing else mind.
I'll do some more reading til I see.
