Big fan of the Milwaukee hear aswell, it dosent airlock and has a handy air blead on it, it's a bit of weight alright but it's got a long pipe so has never been a problem for me tbh
, And thats why im not an electrician mursal........You got 60Hz mains then?
Consider McNaught, works of the 20kg can.
And its Manual ................
im just looking for something that might make me grease more often really.
I picked up earthmovers mag today, and in the back pages there was an ad for expanding/adjustable girth (steady on!) pins.
Forget all this grease gun malarkey and your fancy graphite impregnated copper alloy bushes - in future just get a bunch of these expandable pins and keep winding them. Everything now tight as a drum. Sorted!!
Indeed it was the Expander System! 10 year / 10,000 hour warranty.Got a link? Is it the swedish firm "expander pin" or have you found someone else?
Genuine expander pins are very good providing they are fitted correctly and there is no flex in the frame. If frame flexs then they simply will not stay tight!
I have used them on matbro and manitou centre pivots and there steering rams for years.
Also good for sorting jcb TM300 bottom main lift ram pin.
No good what so ever on a matbro main tilt compensating link pivot to boom they flex and no matter what the bolts just loosen off.
However they are very expensive.

What do they say oil (grease) is the cheapest form of maintenance.....
But grease wont tighten a pin in a used machine .............
How do they work?

I guess they would struggle to stay put where the bore has become ovalled rather than a more regular circular wear.
This video should answer everyones questions? I cant find the pictures of ones I have fitted? I think they may have been lost forever last time my laptop had a melt down!
you can skip the first 2 minutes they are very boring.

Like all good ideas it looks deceptively simple, but the devil is in the detail I have no doubt.just they are so dam expensive! Don't stop you making your own version of it though out of EN24 bar
Tip don't make the sleeves from EN24 bar, EN8 is fine. EN24 is too hard and the sleeves crack

Final question, would expanders or line boring be your first/default choice?Careful measuring is needed to get right lenght of pin yes. Too long and the sleeves not in the lugs enough. To short and they can push through the other side and interfere with the ram!

I have had a alemite for 4 years and it been very good but the batteries have started to get old I have had a dewalt for about 3 weeks and so far I’m impressed.Want to buy a cordless grease gun. Already signed up to the dewalt cordless tools. Do I go Milwaukee or Alemite? Both similar prices once batteries and chargers and purchased!
Thanks for that one. Purchased it earlier. Hopefully better than having another branded set.
