Minette has finally got it

See the twitter post.

Minette complaining of higher costs/standards with nothing in return, as imports undercut us.

Yet NFU's policy seems to have been to shackle us to gold plated Red Tractor standards.

It's saying one thing, then voluntarily doing the complete opposite to our industry.

So what is Minette going to do about it?

I don't think she has got it. Here she is railing against someone backing the cage ban. What the cronk is she on about 'where is the funding'?

Should think it is her idea of an April fool's joke? Back to normal for NFU tomorrow?

We now play 'spot the Minette photo' when the NFU glossy arrives- if we bother to unwrap it.
Last issue I think we got to page 6 before there WASN'T a minette pic. She managed to get 2-3 onto some pages.
Joking aside, it sickens me.
I couldn't care less what our pres looks like, and I certainly don't want this supposed wall to wall adoration.

Does she 'get it'?
for me, I very much doubt it. From experience she has almost no grasp of what hill farming livestock is about. None.

Maybe she doesn't get it.

It's the irony of the post, with the backdrop of NFU supporting Red Tractor.

20 years of supporting gold plated Red Tractor standards, and 20 years of lesser imports undercutting us with lower production costs.

When is the penny going to drop?

The imports are going to continue.

The definition of madness must be continuing to do the same thing time and time again. When something was previously broken, if you continue to take the same action, it will still be broken.

Her instinct is to beg for more funding so that the corporate food system continues to have access to cheap supplies.

Non farmers union.

Who is going to optimistically sow wheat this autumn with fertiliser at current prices?

I predict there will be such demand that the dead tractor will no longer be a requirement.

I don’t think she has any grasp of what arable eastern counties farming is about either to be honest

Known Minette for years, She has not changed much and that is all i can say.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Well she needs to change and open her eyes whilst there is still an industry to support.

A union is for all members and to represent their interests, not that of processors and retailers!
Haven’t a clue who the members are but there are claims on this forum that farmers are as low as 20% of the membership and that processors and retailers are indeed members.

Yes but that's the problem. The processors and retailers are members!
Infiltrated by the enemy.

And enemy just sums it up, they are there to influence things to line their own pockets and control the farmer members.

Absolutely bonkers, can you imagine the train companies having financial interests in ASLEF or education authorities having membership and influence in teaching unions.

Something has gone badly wrong and Red Tractor just proves this beyond doubt!
