Does anyone know what the limit is to how much stone you can mine out of your own land per year? I know there’s a limit before you need a license.

No to use on my farm
Based on what I was told about "mining" sand and gravel for my own use, on the farm property it was extracted from, essentially no limit. Your local Council will have a minerals extraction officer in Planning Dept who can advise on local variations.

You CANNOT process the material for say, concrete.

You should be covered by 28 days per annum PD rights, but double-check in your local area,

It's the nuisance factor that causes all the issues, shared access, extra traffic on small country lanes, crusher running right beside housing, affecting waterways, visual impacts etc etc

Just be smart about it and everything will be tickety boo.
