Has anyone ground it up for bedding ?
We have a fair few bales we bought in the spring. Was wondering whether this would be a good use for them ?

Give it a try, can’t be no worse or better than OSR straw which is good bottom bedding.

I think chopped OSR straw is much much better than chopped Miscanthus.
It would be interesting to know how grinding it up changed things.

How come it did not go to a power plant, I thought there was supposed to be a big demand for it?

We’ve used it previously. Beef stock stayed cleaned but it’s not a nice sort of bed that you’d want calves to snuggle down on. We didn’t chop it though

We,are only using it as we had them left over.

Found it ruff on the cows and didn't do anything for the beds. Use lime now
