Drove from Edinburgh south yesterday. Serious downpour north of Coldstream almost stopped all traffic.
Too late for WBarley, might help the wheat.
SBarley will take some cutting being only 9" tall including the head!

Had several savage showers in the night and one during breakfast so I hopped on the bike to go and check the hydro filters expecting to see a lot of junk come down the brook and a healthy surplus of water. I couldn't believe how little flow there was in the brook. Must have all been sucked straight into the hungry ground. Hail just before I came in for dinner.

Only about 8mm in the gauge, but flooded the road here and reports of flooding in Berwick.
Had to sheet some freshly bedded sandstone ridges in the rain, oh joy.

Different subject, but what dashcam do you have, very clear pictures.

edited.
I only fitted it on Wednesday.
There is a button to stick to the dash to make it take snaps.
Easier than leaning to the passenger side to pretend you're not driving too. ;)

Now to work out how to set the date and make it send pics to my phone.
