Missing presumed stolen

Today, Sunday 8th of Jan, a reward has been offered for information which would lead to the return of half a furrow stolen in a daring raid from Stokesley ploughing match Vintage class.

The stunned Lancastrian competitor did not miss it until it was pointed out by the judge, although he was sure he had it when he left home. In his defence it had been rather foggy at the time. It did not surprise him in the least as he had plot 13. On reflection he said it was possible he had lost it in the ditch he had to be pulled out of on the moorland road he got lost on en-route to the match.

Police are asking people in the area to keep a look out for a team of people struggling with a heavy long ungainly object roughly 10" X 6" which is green on one side (top)

Explore in morning

Roy the clue is in the quote ' the champ' which Norfolk yokel calls you that ?

Ok, I'm with you now Brian, just a bit too cryptic for me last night !

Pretty good finish for the Cambridge, not Norfolk yokel .....................................................................:D the only downside is the lack of show furrow for 1/2 distance of the plot

It ain't one of mine, and yes the show furrow is wrong at the near end !

Have you edited the photo to cut out the entry into that finish Dave ?..................;)

As we all do. Entry is fine for straight and generally good apart from second to last furrow just as it goes in. Sorry but can't find the original.

As in all things what looks good on the day can be lacking when viewed through a lens, the two significant differences being first that a lens looks through a single pinhole where as we view things through two pinholes roughly 150mm apart depending on how trustworthy the viewer is. In some circumstances it may be much less :D:D our company apart. Secondly a lens handles light and shade in a different manner - bit like how somebody looks after a heavy night with dark bags under their eyes, compared to how they normally look. :):):grumpy:

You are ploughing in Yorkshire not Cambridgeshire there John, that wouldn't even collect a podium in the novice class, no offence Ben

Ah, that explains it then...its a well known fact that once you cross the Humber bridge going northbound, that ploughing is more often judged more on the person doing it than the quality of the work being done

as for my original post, it appears the intended sarcasm didnt work....what i was getting as was how high starts seem to be commonplace nowdays

Probably one of the fairest places in the country to be judged in - ask the champ, also the most competitive, ask the champ again.

Not wishing to be rude but how would you know apart from heresay? Have you ever been over the Humber bridge anyway?:scratchhead::scratchhead::scratchhead: Have you ever been out of Cambridge? The usual route to our part of the world is straight up the A1. Looks like your screen could be wrong way up again:D:D or are you holding the map the wrong way up?
