Maybe so. I would like to agree with you.

But what if Mad Vlad had really taken the hump at this and retaliated with nuclear weapons?

We ain’t dealing with a normal person here. The bloke is maybe terminally ill and also clearly unhinged.
He once said something like ‘if there was to be no Russia then there could be no world’.

Would you honestly take that chance?

Being led by globalist c u next tuesdays is our primary mistake. Putin wouldn't have it any more. He laughs at our woke, transexual culture. That's about it. Hard times will create good men again. Unfortunately while most cry, millions will suffer and die. Way of the world.

So you think that Boris, Turdo, that fella lady who runs NZ, Napoleon 2, sleepy joe and so on and so on are normal people? Jesus. Would you trust any one of them with your kids?

How the f**k does that happen?? I was talking about this with a friend today. How is it that decisions like this are made when the reasonably intelligent layman can look at it and say, 'no, that's a bad idea'? Corruption? Idiocy?

The same government that had originally tasked Huawei of China with installing 5G ... and China to build the odd nuclear power station around the country.

What's the Saying? Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

It's called 'democracy' old son. If you don't like what they are doing you vote them out!

Seems the biggest mistake we made was to keep pushing Russia to see what they would, do yet not having a plan for when they did it.
Indeed and anyone with an ounce of common sense such as John Mearsheimer who is an American political scientist and international relations scholar and who is the R. Wendell Harrison Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicagowill tell you that.

Who was pushing Russia. Putin has been continually invading, threatening or damaging all the counties around him since he came to power. :scratchhead:
Really? Do show us a list of Countries that Russia has overseas troops stationed in, military bases and weapons in, together with a list of conflicts that they have instigated or been involved in then do the same for the USA over the same time period.

Perhaps you could explain why and at which University are you a professor of Political Science and International relations?

A 2017 survey of US international relations faculty ranks him third among "scholars whose work has had the greatest influence on the field of International Relations in the past 20 years.

And why do we have Nato?
after WW2 The US pulled nearly all troops out of Europe the only ones left were in West Germany as Occupation troops just as we too left troops the BAOR
we did not leave any troops in the rest of Europe even Germany’s partner in crime Italy.
Compare that too Russia it only withdrew troops from one country strangely Austria a fellow partner of Germany.
They left an army of occupation equipped with there newly developed nuclear weapopns spread right across for the next 45 years.
it was the decision to try to force West Berlin under Russian control to make the West wake up what Churchill had been warning since 1945 that the Bear was still hungry.
sadly far too many commentatiors on the left watrched with svcales over there eyes as the Russians demonstrated time after time their odious nature. Across the world they fomented troubles to try and take there poisonous doctrines which never allowed any dissent meaning ten of thousands of people across not just Europe but in Africa South America and Asia were enslaved and slaughtered by there dictatorial governments. Thew result today can still be seen in the appalling life of millions of people particularly in the African continent.
And you wonder why we have Nato?

Just reads your statement again and look at the present situation in Ukraine.
he blames everything on Nato expansionist policies , if Ukraine had joined Nato 20 years ago they would not be suffering the treatment being handed out by Putin now
he is an ultra traditional lefty university Professor

When the USSR collapsed 14 countries broke free of the Kremlin's yoke. And since Putin came to power he has been threatening or invading them in his effort to recreate the Soviet Empire, which in reality has only succeeded in moving all of them to look more to the west for safety and prosperity. Only Belarus and Kazakhstan offer any support to Putin and that is only due to puppet governments using severe methods of oppression and Russian military interventions.
