I know you & Captain Manering on here think I'm some wet behind the ears Dartmoor farmer whose views on anything are a load of "cobblers" but to be honest we can all have different views on how this was allowed to start whilst at the same time all agreeing that the world would be a far better place if Putin had been dropped by his mother at birth.
Having said that he is not the only lunatic leader the world has had to deal with & we do not always get it right for those that end up being affected.
As for caviar at 6/7 Kensington, so far I have not been invited but I do believe some of the residents of that property do frequent the Nobu restaurant in our property in Park Lane, so maybe I'm not quite so wet behind the ears after all!

Hi Brian. No I do not think at all you are wet behind the ears. Far from it. From what I have picked up so far you are far more successful than me when it comes to your business etc. But this forum is in my view the pub taproom, especially these pages in Politics, which is primarily opinion and views. The difference with an internet forum to real life pub taproom is you may not know who you are actually arguing with. You have your views and are arguing for them. But as one would in the pub taproom provided I do not swing a punch at you, which is tres difficile over the internet, or use too offensive language, then a rough and tumble is order of the day. On this issue of Ukraine I take an opposite view to you on many points and where I consider you wrong will point these out, as I am sure you will with me.

This is WW3. Russia, China are being called out. And in my view your appeasement approach is entirely wrong. This moment has to be done.

But on a positive note maybe you could get a doggy bag organised for some caviar for TFF!

Best wishes, H

hardly WW3 yet
from what I can remember Yugoslavia was just as bad, war crimes, mass graves and "the west" spent ages watching from the sidelines

If I recall, and do correct me, the Yugoslav conflict was a civil war between factions. One of the superpowers did not threaten directly and move its troops over the border destroying all it could. You may disagree with that analysis and say NATO (UK/USA) invaded. And China was not directly involved. Nope this is call out China too. A full scale conflagration is unlikely. But this is the 2022 version of WW3. Maybe we could write and share out theses!! Cheers. I am a bit concerned about the size of your loading shovel compared to my shovel!!

Yeah, yeah, I have an English Keyboard. None of these funny oomphlant hat thingys above letters. Never understood 'em when I had to attend French and German lessons at school. Seemed to me then and now superfluous mush, and forin. All Brigitte Bardot. English doesn't have 'em and manages perfectly well. I can remember the German teacher explaining what they meant. Poor woman she was dealing with lads from the Fen. Christ we could only jut master English.
