Mitsubishi L200 extra cab, spares or repairs

I have a mate who isn't on the forum who has a black Mitsubishi l200 extra cab, it has a big end knock so will need looking at, would be ideal for someone with a smashed up truck with a good engine, its a warrior on a 05 or 06 plate I will confirm and add photos if and when anyone is interested!
Pm if interested and want to know more, it has a good canopy on it, think its a truckman, he hasn't got time to wait for repair so just bought another, genuine enough truck from a farmer/ builder!

Another one with a shot engine. Have one sat on the ramp the same. Bet you its number one big end. These engines are terrible.

This one is still running but been parked up before any major damage is done, could be a cheap truck for someone in the know!

If its banging its too late. Problem with L200s is they are so tight to work on. My absolute nemesis.

Why do they do No:1 big end I wonder, oil pump at the back?

You need to drop and engine in, to get your money out of it.

Because they are made of plasticine. Problem comes when a motor is worth £2500 when running, an exchange block is £1200 often it wipes out the turbo and cat too. Add in labour and they want scrapping. If they were easy to get the engines in and out it would be different but they are designed for Japanese with little paws.
