Mitsubishi l200 series 5

Yep got one hear it's unbelievable on fuel. Took fuel consumption figures as a load of rubbish when we bought it! But so far been proved wrong it's doing 40 on a decent run no bother. Higher on trip computer but have tanked it over 40. 12ft trailer with 2 ton mini on, it done 26mpg over a 20mile round trip. Bit different from the defender!!

Im not running one, but had one for a couple of days on demo. Best i got was 36mpg on a mix of driving, but the speedo was reading nearly 3mph out ie at 60 mph actually 57. To be fair, every pick-up I have tried has been the same !

Those must be manual transmission figures.
New Tritons/L200 here in diesel auto configuration only getting 700 -720 km out of a tank.
Speedometre on mine is spot on with speed camera check, and Ted , I'd only ever get about 400km on a tank, but thats to be expected with 4.875:1 diffs, no five speed gearbox and petrol.

Anyone running a new l200? The manufacturers claimed mpg is just over 40, what are they actually returning?
I have a series 4. The best i can get out of it is 36mph. Thats good fuel. ie not from supermarket:nailbiting: They only use very low grade, the best my truck will do then is 32 on that stuff. The 5 series probably will do it.

See according to the yellow peril there up graded to 3.5t tow with tri axle trailer is that just the amarok that’s under the tow weight now

Hmm.. a note of caution with Mitsubishi. A mate has the latest model l200, auto, best he can get if he drives like a nun is 22 mpg. More realistic everyday driving only doing 18.5. Been back and forth to dealers, they can’t find anything wrong with it but admit it should be doing more . They flatly refuse to take it back as say their mpg figures are only a guide!!
