It’s a old wagon we have sat in a shed for years. I was hoping ther was some other idiot out ther that had already tried it. It’s the getting it out bit that I was wondering about really.

In theory it should work now practice may show up a weakness that you had not for seen but good news a shovel will eventually solve any weakness and hard graft

Just make sure you add as much water as it requires at the begining and that you have something able to tip the thing on its mouth if things go wrong. Our experiment was with an old redrock it would work but the chains started slipping on their sprockets as the tension was held by spring tension.

I'd be careful about how much you actually put in the mix, if it's a 24m³ machine and you try for 24m³ of mix then don't expect your normal feeder tractor to take it to the point of use  . As said above, make sure you film the event.

I've heard of Keenans being used for mixing concrete, and apparently quite successfully. Crack on.
There's one here in Ireland working away or there was anyway mixing up stuff for bricks and chimney pots. Big old lump of a Massey powering it. I must ask the man that told me about it of it's still going. I'd imagine mixing concrete wouldn't be that hard on it so long as it's not let get to dry and stiff in the wagon.

is concrete cheaper bought as individual products or in a lorry, 300kg cement? 600kg sand? 1200 gravel? 300 water?
remember company's use plasticiser, pfa slag etc to reduce the amount of water needed therefore reducing the amount of cement used. their reduction in cement could literally be what makes their profit.
