Mixit slurry stirrers any good?

Peppa Pig has a variety of stirrers.
the Mixit is the only machine capable of using all of the tractor's power via the impeller. 80-200hp.
the other machines generally have other attachments, and submerged bearings taking some of the power.
the unique Mixit impeller does not cavitate when big HP is used.
other malgar type stirrers with one set of blades create a vacuum when the power exceeds about 70hp.
the Pichon type can raise this.
another BIG advantage is - no submerged framework to stop the crust circulating -----
any way, i mustn't carry on - you can visit the website.
ask Peppa how he compares the stirrers!

Mixit are brilliant. Make sure you have the hd shaft though. I've got a 25 ft one with the medium sized impeller and it would knacker ujs. HD shaft is expensive but well worth the money. Use a hydraulic top link.
The smaller Mixit one I had previously was 2001 and had one set of bearings. They shouldn't be running in liquid or slurry. Grease every time it's used and it'll be good for years. Dealing direct with the man that makes them is good too.

when the highest spec Mixit costs a quarter of some of the other 'big' machines it is hard to believe that they will outperform them.
it appears so simple it is hard to believe they will last.
i do have regular feedback that this is, however, the case.
several contractors have swopped their 'contactor' machines for a Mixit because they are reliable and quicker at producing an homogenous slurry for trouble free pumping,
particularly where the crust is thick. The maintenance on some of the complex machines is crippling.

thank you Superted for your comments. will have to offer you a job!

Haha no problem! It's good when a machine lives up to expectations and then some.
I'm not cheap!! ;-)

Would be interested in a price please @stirrer. Currently we have a 20' malgar/primex thing which is at best crap.
a std 20ft lagoon stirrer comes with a walterscheid 2500 pto and an auger on the tube.
there are 2 ordinary impellers; 80-120hp and 110-150hp.
this machine is delivered for £1840 at the moment - brexit will put up the pto's before long.
the hvy m/c comes with a 200hp impeller and a 2600 pto
this is £2600

to clarify - the 200hp model uses the hvy tube used for the std. 25ft machine (£2200)
I have a std length of 22ft for the 200hp. it can be upto 25ft.
ALL the impellers are interchangeable in 1minute without tools. (providing they have not been on for years)
the tubes can be cut to any length - so for under slats I usually supply 14ft, which is the 20ft tube cut down.
i dont know the protocol/security here so the phone no., if you want to discuss, and email is on the website.

Just out of curiosity how do you watch you don't get to close to the floor with no leg especially on lagoons with liners?

The advantage of having no stationary framework in the slurry is huge and thus I have no leg.
If it is your lagoon you will know the depth - so set your linkage quadrant to a safe minimum depth.
If it is not your lagoon then drop the stirrer onto the floor, if not too deep, and set the quadrant before stirring.
The leg, when still there, on stirrers with stationary framework is also likely to damage a liner if resting on the bottom, - Vibration etc.
Most stirring is at the crust/liquid depth - so no worries.
Over 1000 Mixits are out there and no-one has stopped using them!
