Moat bank collapsing

The moat bank 6 metres from the house is collapsing, what would people recommend please?

Got the exact same thing happening here.lots of cracks have appeared on top of banks in last 6 wet months and I’m sure some will end up in the water.hopefully when it dries out the roots of the grass and foliage will hold it together.can’t see what to do apart from plant more bush type plants really.

Same thing happened to the moat banks around the farmhouse here about 10years ago. It was getting to within about 3-4m of the grade 1 house so needing doing desperately. Cost a fair bit of money but a local to us specialist contractor used a small 360 on a barge and placed gabion baskets full of stone into the bank and reshaped over the top of them.

You guys , like your joke , but here in Suffolk we are still concerned about the vikings returning , those b**** Norwegians , now we are not in the EU. Thankfully my local river is completely blocked thanks to the EA.
Vikings , they are those little furry things arn’t they or is that beavers?
