Moved my router to another room, walls as well as windows between it and mast. 83mb, but for how long?
OK, but it`s a guide to what`s possible.Signal strength has nothing to do with mine varying speed.
Eagerly anticipating the arrival of 1G here!, it will be 2031 or later before we get 6G around here.
In twll tun y byd you can expect no more than the use of smoke signals with the Pony Express maybe once a week.Eagerly anticipating the arrival of 1G here!
i am on ee broadband which is excellent but totally dependant on signal strength. Being old stone house with 3G windows it is a bit of a Faraday cage so I do have to be selective of which room to use depending on speed I require. Only been dead once which I found out from ee was down to work on a local mast.
Not all routers have antenna sockets, Often the ones provided as part of a contractExternal antennae mounted no more than five meter run from the router, can give a huge increase in speed in this kind of situation. You also need to reconfigure the settings on the router to accommodate the external antennae!
Nice idea but on grade 2 listed farmhouse I am not allowed.External antennae mounted no more than five meter run from the router, can give a huge increase in speed in this kind of situation. You also need to reconfigure the settings on the router to accommodate the external antennae!
My 4G aerial is mounted in my attic so only tiles for the signal to pass through.Nice idea but on grade 2 listed farmhouse I am not allowed.
