Modern take on the old back actor. Uses built in controls from the reverse drive version of the tractor?
Was thinking the very same thing......................................
in fairness, all that gear brand new would cost far more than just the valtra and back actor, and if thats a 57kph valtra its a very mobile outfit, and would use far less diesel and time getting between jobs. whether its any good or not i dont know, but i can certainly see a market for it, especially with red diesel soon to be a thing of the past in construction. You could buy a 360 a low loader, tractor to pull it and a 3cx at the price of that outfit..
Did think of the diesel thing but wouldn't the same apply? Red on farm, white on site whether its that Valtra or a digger.in fairness, all that gear brand new would cost far more than just the valtra and back actor, and if thats a 57kph valtra its a very mobile outfit, and would use far less diesel and time getting between jobs. whether its any good or not i dont know, but i can certainly see a market for it, especially with red diesel soon to be a thing of the past in construction.

Its a niche product for sure but it has its place. Bit unfair to compare new with old price wise.Maybe, but even used all that other stuff is way better at doing what it’s doing than that Valtra package.
Yeah I was just making the point that it will use less diesel for traveling than a 3cx or a tractor pulling a 360, whatever colour fuel is required at the timeDid think of the diesel thing but wouldn't the same apply? Red on farm, white on site whether its that Valtra or a digger.
Jack of all trades master of none springs to mind. Having said that if you only need to be doing a little of everything you can trade compromise for convenience but at what cost?Interesting setup.. I am thinking along similar lines as modern tractors are as heavy as a 3cx but far more mobile. The flaw with the plan is that the tractor now can't tow a trailer. I would have the back actor mounted permanently, close coupled and set on the left. Linkage and hitch all left free for use. Set up correctly it could also mulch and cut hedge. Cut out loads of different machines with one outfit. I am working on all this..

Not really what I had in mind, with my setup i can cut hedge and plough at the same time.. haven't actually tried it yet but no reason why not!Front linkage and just pull a trailer along with that behind you?? Easy to fashion a 3 point headstock with a hook on it?
