Module Planter for sale

Hi all, I’m new to the pumpkin game and wanting to try a small patch this year. I will have about 2 acres to do. I’ve got the seeds growing into seedlings in trays and as soon as the weather improves I want to get them in the ground. Does anyone have an old school 2 row planter for sale that would be suitable for pumpkins? Thanks

Yes, can alter width between rows and spacing in the rows, both linkage mounted, used the 2 row on a 21hp iseki for year's.
Ok that’s good. I’ve got my seedlings in 126cell trays, would they fit in the applicator? Does the machine create a furrow, drop the plant in and then push the soil back behind itself?

I’ve got a three row I’d sell. Specifically adapted for pumpkins, 1.5m row width.

Weed control will be a factor. A near neighbour grows several acres of squash (organically). Last year he did 2 rows per 2 metre bed, this year I think he’s just doing a central row but closer together in order to be able to hoe the beds for a bit longer.

Yes I just admit, controlling the weeds is something I’m not looking forward to. Been told a cultivator with some of the legs removed is a good tool for the job but row spacing is paramount for being to drive up and down without damaging the plants

When we first started growing veg I bought a few old bits of kit in farm sales. Just something like a spring tine will do, especially if you can fit duck feet points. Assuming that pumpkins grow like squash, the runners can go in excess of 10’ in all directions so you’ll only mechanically hoe them for a short while. We’re planning on a few pumpkins as a trial this year if time allows.
