Moisture limits for milling and feed

There doesnt seem to be any consistency amongst the merchants. Amything over 16% they say its at the discretion of the mill and just depends on the day.
Ive done some wheat sampled at 12.25% P, 405 Hag, 75kg at 16.1%M
Their moistures always read above my calibrated Marconi. I'd follow the lorry if I had time, taking my meter with me. Whats the premium over feed for this?
They say it's feed due to moisture being over 16. Bet they just go and blend it but I'm under pressure to get it shifted so maybe just let it go as feed. This is probably where there's advantage of a central store, Camgrain where I suppose they have no axe to grind.

“Standard” spec milling is normally 12.5% protein 250 hag and 76kg/hl bushel so perhaps the moisture wasn’t as much as an issue as you think

Very lucky here,I been delivering wheat to the same feed mill for 20 years. I’m on a short notice bonus. Meaning when thy run short I get a rest asking for wheat ASAP. bonus being 30$ a ton and lots of tolerance to moisture. It’s amazing what a few boxes of beer does for re calibrating the moisture meter around Christmas time. They add a fair amount of steam when it’s pelleted so I’m really saving them money lol. The odd load here and there blended into a bin full of dry never gets to be an issue. Even other commodities the buyers will give you an average if you ask nicely but that’s only if it’s a small amount over spec. Sure don’t miss the greedy grain buyer back home.
