I guess the idea is he wants them old and rusty. I’ve heard some mole catchers buy new traps and bury them for a year so they are not new shiney and smelly
I've taken them strait out of the poly bag they were delivered in and set them and caught moles in them next again day.
There's a lot of nonsense going about on mole catching and a lot rubbish equipment you can buy , also vibrating rods you can put in the ground that Dont work
If moles were bothered about vibration they wouldn't be mole hills at the side of the road,.

I bought 50 traps a while ago at, I think, about 50p each. Someone obviously bought a load direct from China, then couldn't sell them. Cleared my moles up and sold the traps (used) on for a profit and at a lot less than the prices quoted on Ebay.

I am currently fencing and need ratchet tensioners. Prices on line are anything up to £10 EACH! I looked on Alibaba and the exact same tensioners are $0.50 to $1.00 plus shipping ("to be negotiated") depending in quantity. I have bought a lot of stuff direct and found the Chinese 100% honest and very keen to oblige.I even have a Chinese vet! They are not stupid either, know we prefer to buy at home and so have set up addresses here with rather long delivery times (so transported direct from China?) so appear to be local. But maybe I've just been lucky.

Does TFF sell mole traps and ratchet tensioners? Judging by the profit margins, maybe it should.
