Morning, yes they can be used for cereals, however, it would be dependant on conditions and what you're drilling into. My unidrill is 18 row over 2.4m.
I use it for 70 acres cereals per year no bother at all.
Also about the same of grasseeds and some years kale and/or forage rape too.
Its an old one with the Sulky box, circa 97 or 98.
