It's got nothing to do with pollution , some very rich people are trying to get people to eat various forms of "fake meat " ie highly processed food ...Just a negative smear pr campaign . There are billions invested in these fake meat companies .....

People will make their own minds up and farmers will produce what the people want.

Even if the whole world stopped eating beef tomorrow, I would expect most of them to be missing it by Christmas.

Can processed meat substitutes really mimic the taste of a beautifully roasted joint? The crispy bits? The melting fat? The tender spots, all rolled into one roasting joint? I doubt it.

I dare say they can make something that tastes like an acceptable burger or even an acceptable slice of fake beef, but the whole taste experience? No way. People would miss that.

Mr Valeur is embarrassing. The whole article is embarrassing. They can't even be @rsed to quote their sources.

I just can’t take the threat of plastic meat seriously. In these days of heightened awareness of food origins, I can’t see it being particularly popular. Quorn’s a plant based meat substitute which has been available for decades and whilst I would suspect it has increased in popularity, it’s still very much a niche product.

The synthetic meat drive is not consumer driven. If people want meat, which I strongly suspect they still will, they’ll buy it.
