It's a grey area, if you look up what the commission said. They confirmed glasses had to have the CE stamp on by the word pint but the crown could be used as "decoration" as long as it wasnt near either the CE or pint.
We can now use the crown sign where we want. However who gives a toss

As you say “who gives a toss” other than discredited Farageites.

Reading today's Times, apparently its the whole hog of yards, feet, inches, lbs and ounces.

No one wants to buy petrol or diesel in gallons. Would faint at the price
Don't mind acres so much though. Or pints

Scraps for the UKIP Tory Hate Europe faithful, meanwhile in the real world migration into UK is a record high. Not white East Europeans but filipinos, Nigerians, Indians. Oh hw delicious. Kippers took back control, removed freedom of movement for Europenas and Brits into Europe (next door) and instead they come from afar. Was forecast by Remain. But no Leave wouldn't have it. Hey ho.

My wife was getting her UK visa a couple of weeks ago and got talking with the African lady in front she was getting her visa to come and work as a psychiatric nurse when she gets settled she’s going to send for her family. My daughter who was on internship at the house of lords sat in on a couple of meetings on Kenyan nurses who are coming to the UK on a scheme apparently there is a big culture shock so they want to educate them on British ways before they come. Thing about Europeans is they blend in unlike the darkies then next thing you know they’re in high positions in the Government and bringing all their friends in.

There was a five minute piece on Radio 4 news at 1pm. Why I flagged it on this thread. NHS driven looking for health and social care staff. Jonny Diamond interviewed a Nigerian nurse. She sounded a good cove. But he asked if she would be at some stage in the future going back to Lagos. She chuckled and said 'its only a six hur flight away'. She is settling in and then her family is coming over. Sounded as though she has quite an extended family. The dirty old man in me preferred the sleek Blonde Baltic girls. But if Kippers prefer a different colour, then so be it.

The NHS needs trained staff, that means you and I need them when we are ill, I've recently spent over five weeks in hospital and have seen this first hand, if we are allowing trained medical staff in compared to any european that wants to come and then ends up in a car wash I know what most voters would rather happen. If there was no brexit these unskilledceu citizens would still be coming on top of the medical staff. Brexit wasnt about stopping immigration it was about control of who could come

The country still needs unskilled labour our packer has closed his Warwickshire packhouse due to lack of labour. There’s a reduction in the area of vegetables being grown because of a labour shortage. Whilst my wife was getting her visa i was sat next to two Africans who were off to Jersey to work in a hotel it didn’t sound like they were particularly well qualified. Europeans and the British share similar cultures and they fit in far better than Africans or Indians. I don’t ever think when immigration was being discussed at the time of Brexit anyone ever mentioned just swapping one lot of immigrants for another lot i think it was something on the lines of british jobs for british people. As for trained medical staff my sons girlfriend works for the General Medical Council interviewing doctors from what i’ve heard you did well to get out of hospital in one piece.

We have lots of unskilled staff here, they just dont want to work, we can change that if we have the political will, takes years to train a doctor.
My surgeon is of Jordanian decent, his assistant also plus some from other non uk countries, plenty of british ones in the department I was in , all very highly skilled and dedicated, mine came back to see me on his day off after I developed sepsis to ensure the treatment was correct. A pretty high percentage of nurses were non uk again they wasnt any difference in their general abilities.

I concurr the medical staff are excellent. As are many more of these other country immigrants. The gist of the migration Watch fell being interviewed was that 2016 the Tories (as the political party of Brexit) promised reduced immigration. And that ain't happened. SO yet more of Billy Bunter's, Fargae et al lies. But do dress it up, makes for fun posts. Lowland comments and observations have it cracked. Hope you are well and recuperating.

Getting there thank you, was diagnosed with bile duct cancer which has very poor survival rates but turned out to be a rogue polyp in the duodenum right by the duct, last stage before cancer, still involved losing part of the stomach, duodenum, pancreas liver and all the duct and gall bladder, bit of a shock to someone who has always been healthy.
Very lucky to have survived after developing sepsis afterwards thanks to an incredible hospital and staff.

I just found it bemusing all the fuss about the small boats crossing the channel, yet nearly 1million folk entered the UK in year to March 2022. S'pose keeps Farage in sm kind of employment.
