Evening,

About a month, ish, ago i sowed 80kg an acre of spring wheat, and put another 100kg of 20-10-10 down the drill spout.

Now, I’m a total novice to growing wheat, but the question is, should I give it a bit more fertiliser? If so, what, and when?

I can feel the eyes rolling in your heads reading this!! 😂😂

Yes now. Majority of spring wheat growers put 50% down at drilling and 50% as soon as its emerged. Total 150-200kg/ha depending what’s the end market.

You’ve only put 20kg on so far.

Is that 100kg/AC (2 cwt) or 100kg/ha of 20 10 10????
Your crop looks well👍 as said get the rest on asap, 150 to 200 kgN/ha or 120 to160 units/acre I'm going at about 140 units on spring triticale which is similar. I put 60 units post drilling and the rest on today.

No he’s put 50kg/ha of N on so far he needs another 350kg/ha of nitram 34.5% to make 170 kg/ha of N total. Or in old money just under 3 bags to the acre

We need to be sure we are talking the right units. If he has applied 100kg per acre that is 250 per hectare and he has applied 50KgN (Ha)

My sp Wt has had 70kg/ha N in the seedbed prior to drilling. I am going to wait a bit to see if it rains.
