Wasnt there some cases of the scrotes breaking out the equipment that is built into the Fendt roof panels?
Fact is this is organised crime instigated by individuals who know exactly what they want and know where it is. Dome could be pink for all the difference it would make.

How about freeze branding your postcode onto them then?

Ten years ago feilds were drilled and combined etc in the dark without this kit

The dairy industry went down the whole everthing electric route years ago now its all about the most basic parlour you can operate at low cost
I’ve been running autotrac for the past 15 years, just done 10 straight hours (last hour and a half in the dark!) on a combine and definitely wouldn’t be without guidance. The amount of burden it removes from the operator is massive, I did 4 hours of cultivation this morning and every pass was exactly 4m meaning I covered the maximum amount of area possible, try doing that by eye consistently.

I got basic guidance 15 years ago for spreading fertiliser, it increased my accurate spreading width and allowed me to work much more efficiently and decreased my tiredness/increased my effectiveness. Mega progress barely describes it, I kicked myself for weeks for not getting it sooner, not many fields round here you can see from one end to the other.....
Obviously @Martyn is still using horses and thrashing mills while waiting to see if this new fangled steam business takes off.......

Would be a lot cheaper for everyone if they just used the tree in distance and drove in straight line cant understand how such expensive gear has become basic requirement for everday field work

I was an early adopter to auto steer. Many berated meon what they perceived as an unnecessary luxury. Does it pay for itself on my acreage? Probably not. Would I be without it? Definitely not. It gives you so much pride and satisfaction in doing a job really well. As well as that you can do 16 hours drilling and get off the tractor still feeling fresh. Life’s too short to be a Luddite. Spend the money, make life easier and morepleasurable because you’ll be dead one day .... and you can’t take any of it with you.

For every unit stolen Deere get to sell another so they are still making money.in the 90s sports bike theft was rife and most got broken and then raced.manufacturers never bothered with security as they sold another unit and still raking it in
nick...

This is the issue, Deere & others could have dealt with it but didn’t want to.
You can track your I phone but not a 10 x as costly JD computer.

Because let’s face it, it’s a Dam good trade for them.

We are going to put trackers in them. Also going to track old broken ones in the Hope they are nicked.

Also a lot nicked around here Trimble as well.

on the note of Greenstar domes, does anybody know if a layer of paint on the dome would affect the signal strength? i have been contempating having mine resprayed a different colour so they are unique, i believe they are solid dyed plastic so no paint on them currently.

Try it put some cling film over it then paint it and then see if it works

We had a number of customers with receivers stolen this time last year. A few items have recovered from Germany but the police weren’t interested. Make sure your local JD dealer instals the latest update on your sf6000 for pin protected

If we do this with Radar Domes on boats, it can have an effect, mainly to do with the heat, black is a no no typically, might not be an issue plowing in November though to be honest, but I would certainly do a test prior to painting.
