No longer family ownedNot being harsh, but Morrisons has been going down the steepest part of the shitter for the last 12 months now.
With family values, Ken Morrison would be shocked and saddened if he was alive…..No longer family owned
Not sure if Downing Street can dictate Morrison’s lamb sourcing policiesDid they announce it at the Downing Street food summit, or did they forget to mention it?
I suppose the positive you can take from that is they aren’t using imported product. to undercut domestic, which is the usual scenario. We just have to appreciate the public really doesn’t care on the whole where it comes from, its price. I see this a something of a compromise, the consumer isn’t left thinking they are out of pocket if it’s as expensive wherever it comes from?Either or at Sainsbury's. You don't get the choice online.

I read it as they will choose what they send you, so I'm guessing they will supply mostly the cheaper import so they make more money and pay less to UK farmersI suppose the positive you can take from that is they aren’t using imported product. to undercut domestic, which is the usual scenario. What they are doing with that is supplying the cheapest option if they have it in stock ( ie NZ ) but if they are short of that they will use British.I suppose the positive you can take from that is they aren’t using imported product. to undercut domestic, which is the usual scenario. no, there is lessMore NZ Lamb.
If you buy over the internet yes they probably will, but if you shop in store and see both at the same price on the shelf I imagine the majority would pick the British leg. I don’t think many urban internet shoppers would ever buy a whole leg of lamb anyway they wouldn’t know what to do with it they’d just eat out somewhere for a meal like that.I read it as they will choose what they send you, so I'm guessing they will supply mostly the cheaper import so they make more money and pay less to UK farmers
What’s the farm price difference between the UK and Australia/NZ?
Someone said it’s pretty high in the UK at the moment
With the pile of debt they are struggling under I’m surprised they can get anyone to supply them.
