Is the land Rover discovery the most powerful 4x4 . Surprised to see it's almost twice as powerful as the land cruiser.photo from the farmers journal.

Mercedes ML550 has a 4.6l V8 bi-turbo engine rated at 400Hp, the AMG ML63 version has a 5.5l V8 b-turbo rated at over 500Hp. And come 2023 a 6 year old second hand one of either will have a road tax of £140/yr......:love::love:

G63 Amg has 544hp and triple locks. It has the aerodynamics of a brick and fuel consumption of a tank, but who cares?
 
Land cruisers only come new with a weezy 4 pot in the uk now, v8s went 2015, salesman said it was due to emissions, but is still available in Lhd in other markets.

Audi did have a Q7 V12 Diesel with 500HP it had colossal torque figures being a diesel and 6 liters :) i do believe it was the only v12 diesel ever put in a passenger vehicle.
 
Problem with running these big v engines is access to the ancileries, either necessitating engine out or body off just to replace a simple turbo or alternator. Had the same deliberation over upgrading to a D4, which decided against!
