At least out here, I don't know of many blokes who could top 140 plus km's a week on a quad bike. Note that that's one bloke on about 1800 acre's
My main bike did 5,000 mile in 3.5 months over pre lambing and lambing, that’s an average of 47 mile a day, it had a service at the start of January and the brakes went early April.

We‘ve a Can Am,pretty new at moment.

Only gripe is while working with sheep we had left the quad holding the yard gates, the pressure in the braking must have tailed off and it took off backwards. Down a steep incline bouncing off the landlords stone barn.

It was one of those oh feck moments you couldn’t do nothing about, daughter was closer and sprinted after it,reached but the flaming thing has no brake lever on the side she was on.

The brake lever was still applied.

Moral of the story is if you leave a Can Am on a bank with the hand brake lever for a period of time make sure you put the gear box in park.

Other than that not a bad quad.

Can am here after 25+ years of Honda . Old man still has his Honda but find there not the bike they used to be ( served my time on Honda's )
Can am a beast of a bike , awesome out the hill & goes like stink on the road
( 77mph top so far)
Not had it long enough to comment on long term reliability.

You must have a good road to do that speed on. Mate got his 110kph so 67 odd mph but that was on a dirt airstrip.

I see some replies of people with gators and kubota rtv's. We have a contract with a municipality for salt spreading on narrow roads and bicycle roads, and we are thinking of using a Kubota RTV or something similar. I have a Holder C3.42 with a spreader. Really compact and I can get in every corner with it, but the comfort is terrible. Our route is 60 km driving (25 km spreading), and you're quite beaten up after a few rounds... Problem is we have to carry at least 1000 kg or 2000 lbs for a single route. Does someone have experience with a kind of gooseneck trailer on utv's or something like that? Than we could spread the weight on the rear axle and the trailer axle. There is a company that builds kind of bolt on beds in combination with a forced steered rear axle to convert a rtv to a 6x4. (check youtube 'Kubota RTV 1100 6x4') Looks great but the custom built unit costs >6000 k in euro's....

Won't go wrong with a Suzuki 500 in my opinion. Had mine just on a year now and put 8500 miles on it. Comfy, powerful and feels really safe on the steep stuff. Only gripe is that they're a bit plastic and bits of trim etc are easy knocked off/broken.. But I'm not the most considerate of users! Would have another over just about anything at the moment

Place my son works has quads in stock I think they look good 😊
Quads in stock? I’ve waited close to 4 months for a new Yam and I’ve already ordered to change the next one, it isn’t due to change but it probably will in 6 months or so 🤦🏻‍♂️

I had a can am, its was terrible on fuel, the plastic was unforgiving and after 3 years kept going wrong, in the end the four wheel drive went and I cashed it in for a Suzuki 400 18 months ago. that bike is brilliant, never have to fill it although only really runs on tick over all day and has done 1000 hours and only 5000km. Its a shame they stopped making them. One of the estates I help on had a Honda 500 at the same time and has spent more time being fixed than they have it, so much so the curtsey bike was broken last time I was there as well!
