MOTs that fall due on or after the 30th of March have been extended for 6 months from the date of expiry.

Does that mean my 10th March 2021 one has 6 months on it as well - where does it stop?

But if you get pulled in that extra time and vehicle is deemed unroad worthy etc, you get fined.

Not sure it is for everyone though,
Best check online, but think it only applies to the likes of over 70's and them that has to isolate for 12 weeks etc, this is so they need not go out apart from shopping and medicine,
Lad at work said we still have to get them done as due will look later

My garage wont be doing mot,s or repairs ,they have closed until when ever..

It applies to everyone, look on the DVSA website and is six months from when your mot is due, HGV‘s have got 3 months as well

But that is always the case, an mot doesn't mean it's roadworthy for 12 months

saw this last night and thought, what the hell, they have helped me out in the past, so had the car done

I gave up servicing the car years ago!
I have no interest in cars. Local garage does it?

There collecting it thursday but might not get its mot. It's not moved in a week and no plans to go anywhere in it so should be safe for them.

Took my truck in for some work last week and as the MOT was due in early April I told them to MOT it. Sods law!
Thought I'd check the wife's car and found out her's had run out in November. Managed to get it done yesterday.
