looking at mzuri drills, 3 metre width is there any downsides to mounted v trailed. Iv read the mounted is heavy and obviously is seed only but how do other users get on with these?

No experience with a mounted but perceived disadvantages would be less equal weight distribution on headlands, higher tyre pressures, unable to adjust front leg working depth independent of coulters on the go. On the other hand, they're cheaper and simpler.

I have just bought a trailed, was considering mounted but went for a trailed because there seemed to be more space between the working parts, I'm hoping it will be easier to hook up and go!

You were pleased enough with your demo then? Would be interested in your thoughts overall, and what sort of rotation you're looking at? Jumping straight in or gradually bit by bit, year on year?

the demo patch doesn't look that great tonne honest, it just looks a lot better than where we used the combi!
Depends on the year really, hoping to get all crops drilled with it, maybe not all direct drilled though! Will probably use a carrier over the majority as we use a lot of chicken muck and help to incorporate the muck in.
Dropping winter oats for spring ones and will probably grow beans and not grow any 2nd cereals!

Hi just wondering how your getting on with the Mzuri just thinking of trying one myself could do with making the job simpler for rape and cover crops
