Mounted Simba FreeFlow

Location

Has anybody either done something like this, or heard or know of anyone that has successfully converted a trailed FreeFlow to use as a mounted drill.
I was thinking a 4 m. version might make a cheap folding tine seeder
Thoughts were drop the front draw bar off and fit a three point linkage - with support stays back to the rear of the drill frame, also remove the rear packer ( to elevate weight) & move the following harrow and pre-em. markers closer to the drill frame. Seeding depth would be set on front packer roller & tractor hydraulic top link.
I appreciate this would weigh “a bit” but it would be on a 200hp plus tractor.
Just something I’am “mulling over”. Am I nuts and wasting my time - or am I on to something ??
Thoughts and comments appreciated.
TIA

Only times I’ve wanted my 4m freeflow mounted is when I’ve been an idiot and tried drilling when I shouldn’t have resulting in a very stuck rig.

Huge weight even without rear packer and stuff brought forward, I really wouldn’t want that on my linkage for any time at all.
The Freeflow is designed to take incredible stress in its designated format, it would be difficult to break it. However, to change it to mounted would change its load capacity hugely as the forces would be different.

I would look for a mounted drill that was designed that way.

I live/farm in a wet place so have some experience of pushing things beyond where I should have thought better.

From personal experience, when its that wet forget a drill. Either try spinning on and a nice light springtine/harrow (whatever your got already) or leave it till it drys up.

I have bought more than enough drills over the years of all different types for wet weather drilling to know that none of them will do the job accurately so better to spend no money and look at what you have in the shed already to do a bad job than spend extra money to do a bad job.

6m TS Evo used to be reasonable money and dead simple/cheap to run.
With money no object it would be my pick of drills for bad conditions but A I still wouldn't buy 1 and B If you can find one for 10k let me know I can sell it on. If on a proper budget I would look for a KRM drill with the car tyre packer forgot what they are called but at least it was deisgned to be picked up and it won't cost a fortune.

EDIT found one on line

Only 4 metres but a 6m is about 13-14K used?

I have a KRM optidrill I’ll sell….
4.8m mounted

breaker tines, spring tines, tyre packer and disc coulters, following harrows…

kind of similar to a free flow ??
I’ve been using it with the spring tines removed, but replacing with wider spaced pigtails would be the job..

I've had a go at converting a rigid 4m freeflow into a mounted version We removed the front packer and shortened the frame also mounted the hopper as far forward as possible and swoped front and rear packers around The end result is its very heavy. I'm not sure we can lift it with any seed in it Even empty a 6210r needs 1000kg on its nose to lift it

I have a Vaderstad Rapid tailed, but want some thing if it comes wet & will put beans in.
If it’s wet, the last think you will want will be a mounted free flow hanging off the back of your tractor. Only sensible idea would be to chop the tank off and put it on the front. But there are farm more suitable drills to drill beans.
