Moving an underground line

Ok so I spoke with the neighbour this morning, meter is at his end, and as far as he was aware the cable was Scottish Power’s responsibility, he never laid the cable and has no recollection of his dad doing it when the sheds were put up in the 60s. I then had a word with the SP Wayleaves officer this afternoon who was quite helpful. He said they’d have to assess the cable to ascertain whether they could adopt it as is, or whether it needed relaid. Either way it needs a wayleave otherwise right now, I’m entitled to ask it to be moved/removed at zero cost to myself which is a risk to them as well as the neighbour. I’m going to sit on it a while but right now I’m inclined to ask them to move it to a location more advantageous to me (ideally with a spur leading into my new shed...)
