does everyone here work mower conditioners? i see a lot of mowers that just seem to cut it the swaths are flat to the ground that cant be good for drying out

Was talking to local pottinger dealer today, he said its not in the pipeline for next year anyway to change it to swing up. He said there going to be releasing a 10ft model of the crossflow alright

Did some pricing, keltec mower with grouper is 20k plus vat and pottinger cross flow is 19 plus vat. Prices in euro

What mower combinations are lads running infront of there balers? Idealy with a grouper/swarter as i dont have a rake. Have an 8ft with grouper but looking for more output. Any one working with 9ft 3628ft front and 9ft 4328lt trailed kvenelands with grouper?

Krone is a good mower don’t no about grouper on it but it can clean the ground

What would ye make of this? Grouper has been retro fitted, its a grouper off krone triples, would it be too heavy and only couse cross shaft problems or could it be counter acted by adding weights to the mower. Anyone seen one retro fitted to a mounted mower before?

You could add counterweights to the mower which would help the tractor crosshaft, but not sure what will happen to the mower body, headstock etc with all that extra weight etc.

Buy a rake. Let the customer rake up the stuff ahead of you baling it. The wilt will be much much faster leaving it flat. Nothing worse than silage bales that are too wet as they don't hold their shape.
