Local fella here is a sail maker to trade, but mainly makes tarps for lorries etc. Makes skirts for combines or anything really. Made a skirt for an old 5ft 6” drum mower we used for topping, he stencilled the Farm name on it in big letters for some reason, felt like a real big time Charlie going around with that on our old Case 585😂

I bought a mower with a badly damaged skirt and was advised to go to Tom Morrow in Inverness who make boat/truck covers, lorry sheets, etc. They repaired it for me and I told them what the manufacturers wanted for a new skirt. (You can imagine!). They replied that they would make a new skirt from scratch using my damaged one as a pattern for a lot less. The repairs cost £30.

that is the kind of thing montrose rope and sail do. got a couple of trailer covers and fert spreader cover over the years from them. made to measure and cheaper than buying from manufacturers.

Got some done for both my Kuhn mowers last year.
William Milne Tarpaulins, up in Tullos Estate did them, made to my sizes no problem at all, and very reasonable.
Mark Wilkie is the lad to speak to, I'll PM you his mobile.
Get him to sew in a rope in the bottom hem to give them a bit of weight.
Take old ones off, and use them to mark out the holes on the new.
Fairly freshened up my mowers.
