Running 3 malone mowers here and very happy with them we use a 8ft disc mower for topping and cutting rough ground and have two trailed conditioner mowers currently waiting on a 10ft mounted conditioner mower from them aswell. Find back up great and part very reasonable

Happy enough with my 9’ Malone. It’s a Comer bed, as used by a lot of other brands, on a (typically Malone) strong frame.

As for the topping skids, they bolt on under the bed and just raise the cutting height by about 2”. Fine on a flat field, but if you have many humps & bumps, you have a 9’ long flat bed supported at each end, flexing over those undulations. I really can’t see how that’s going to do much for the life of the machine.

Malone engineer told me that it’s better run at around 600rpm than 540, which is obviously going to better for cutting cleanly, as long as the machine can handle it of course.
Which is my machine has multiple skids.... Malone guy essentially said the same as you.

Got a kv 4332 mower here that is putting oil out the breather on the main gearbox. Any ideas why? Nothing seems to be running tight
How do you find it cuts ? .We had a 4032 for 17 yrs& did a brilliant job but its replacement the 4332 we cannot seem to get a tidy stubble .The raggiest stubbles are the short term leys which I would have thought been the easiest to cut.

For the most part I would say it's pretty good. Cut heavy crops yesterday that started to lie over so I'll see tomorrow what they're like after I bale them up. The worst I've found is sometimes in light 3rd cuts it can leave small narrow rows of uncut grass. I've been told my issues are due to the round discs but who knows 🤷

Oh well, after all the advice and help I've gone retro 😂

I’ve had three claas drum mowers and a few PZ /Vicons and either are decent mowers
Class built a bit stronger but doesn’t ride rough ground as well not as much bevel on the bottom saucers
That looks like the pz
